5 MINUTE plank challenge | 5 minute abs, core exercise, dancer abs

Hi everyone.

I’ve wanted to do a post about plank exercises for a while. I found this video which is a 5 minute plank challenge. As part of my normal exercise routine, I have incorporated side plank where I rest on my right forearm for 30 seconds and then again on my left side forearm for 30 seconds. It’s been a real challenge but starting to get a little easier.

This video starts with 1 minute in the plank position. It’s then followed up by side planks left and right for 30 seconds each. The demonstrator then moves to high plank which is the pushup position and begins moving the right leg out and back then followed by repeating with the left. It wraps up with moving to a down dog position followed by high plank. The routine ends in the plank position and doing plank jacks which is moving the legs outward left and right then back to center for 30 seconds.

What I like about this is that you can do a full body workout in just 5 minutes. When you first start doing this routine, it’s a real challenge. The good news is that if you stay with it on a regular basis, it will get easier and you will see physical changes.
